\n\t\t It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings to all colleagues and prospective participants of the 2^{nd<\/sup> International Conference on Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences (ICAFES 2025). The inaugural ICAFES 2023 marked a significant milestone for the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau, as we successfully brought together an impressive lineup of seven distinguished keynote speakers from Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, the United States, and Japan. International Scholars were presented their research in diverse fields, including environmental sciences, food technology, biodiversity, plant protection, soil science, and sustainable agricultural development. The event not only fostered academic exchange but also achieved tangible scholarly outcomes, with selected papers published in E3S Web of Conferences and KnE Social Sciences, both indexed in Scopus. This achievement reflects our commitment to producing and disseminating impactful research to the global scientific community.\n\t\t Building on this strong foundation, the 2nd<\/sup> ICAFES 2025 will be held on August 30\u201331, 2025, at the Integrated Classroom Building Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru, Indonesia, in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Deans of BKS-PTN Barat in the Field of Agriculture. The BKS-PTN Barat (Cooperation Agency of State Universities in Western Indonesia) is a strategic network of public universities across Sumatra, Western Java, and Western Kalimantan that collaborate to advance education, research, and community engagement in agricultural sciences. The Annual Meeting serves as a key forum for aligning academic policies, research priorities, and institutional cooperation among member universities.\n\t\t Under the theme \u201cPromoting Sustainable Agriculture for Ensuring Food Security in the Face of Climate Change,\u201d The 2nd<\/sup> ICAFES 2025 aims to address urgent global challenges while strengthening regional networks. The integration of SEMIRATA and ICAFES in 2025 underscores Universitas Riau\u2019s commitment to advancing agricultural innovation, enhancing institutional reputation, and contributing to policy-relevant science that responds to both local and global needs.\n\t\t I cordially invite researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to join us in Pekanbaru for this important event. Your participation will not only enrich the discourse on sustainable agriculture and food security but also foster collaborations that can shape a more resilient and food-secure future. ^{\n\t\t Distinguished guests, respected colleagues, esteemed speakers, and dear students,\n\t\t \n\t\t All praises and gratitude are due to the Almighty God for His blessings and guidance, which have enabled us to conduct the Annual Meeting of the Deans of BKS-PTN Barat in the Field of Agriculture (SEMIRATA BKS PTN BARAT ILMU PERTANIAN), in conjunction with the 2nd<\/sup> International Conference on Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences (ICAFES) 2025. It is a great honor and privilege for me, on behalf of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau, to warmly welcome all of you to this conference.\n\t\t \n\t\t This integrated event represents a strategic academic gathering that aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and innovation among higher education institutions in western Indonesia, especially those focused on agriculture and environmental sciences. The Deans\u2019 Meeting serves as a platform to review progress, align strategies, and strengthen academic cooperation among agricultural faculties under the BKS-PTN Barat network.\n\t\t \n\t\t Simultaneously, the international seminar\u2014ICAFES 2025, held under the theme \u201cPromoting Sustainable Agriculture for Ensuring Food Security in the Face of Climate Change\u201d\u2014provides an avenue for scholars, researchers, and practitioners from both domestic and international institutions to share research findings, discuss innovative solutions, and build networks that support sustainable development.\n\t\t \n\t\t By combining these two important agendas, we hope to create synergy that not only advances academic excellence but also contributes meaningfully to national and regional agricultural transformation. This proposal outlines the objectives, scope, activities, and expected outcomes of the event, and serves as a foundation for coordination and collaboration among all stakeholders.\n\t\t \n\t\t We extend our sincere appreciation to all contributors, supporters, and potential sponsors.
